FinFolio Workstation 2010 is finished.
Today is the cumulation of more than two years of development and a year of beta testing. It took a bit longer than I'd expected but I'm extremely happy with the end result; we stayed true to the original plan and built the operations tool we would want to use ourselves. Thank you to all the advisors who gave us feedback through the process and the beta testers who devoted significant hours helping us improve the software.
FinFolio runs on the desktop or in a web browser. You can install a local server or outsource your data management. The flexible architecture lets you easily move back and forth between the different deployment models. This is a technology platform on which we will build an amazing company -- we've fixed every problem and design flaw in Techfi and made countless improvements.
FinFolio has a modern user interface with ribbon strips and dynamic tool windows that let you customize your workspace to your personal operations flow.

Our patent-pending errors and alerts show you (in painful detail) any data problems:

It has multi-level householding, segmented security logins and a first-class accounting engine. Billing and rebalancing are fully integrated, you can track GIPS compliant composites and calculate both time-weighted and internal rates of return. You can import account and transaction data from all major advisor custodians and we have conversion modules from Techfi and many competing portfolio management systems.
My favorite feature is the client reporting which is better -- by far -- than anything else available to advisors:

It probably goes without saying, but software like this is never *actually* finished. We'll be in early tomorrow morning to start on the first service pack. ;-)
